First of all, apologies for the serious lack of posts lately, but things have been a busy crazy in the rescue and non-rescue world. Hopefully posts will resume their normal schedule over the next few weeks, though there will be another short delay in June while I am on a much-needed vacation. Thank you for your patience. Here we go!
Welcome to our Weekly Rescue Round-up where we update you on all the rescue happenings within LOYAL. Thanks for stopping by the blog, and be sure to share or like this on Facebook and tweet about it, too! Spread the LOYAL love!
{SOCIAL MEDIA}
Are you one of the almost 900 LOYAL fans that has liked our Facebook page? Do you follow our posts on Twitter? Often we post photos and information on these pages that doesn't make it onto the blog, so if you want to stay up-to-date on all of LOYAL's happenings, be sure to tune in and encourage others to do so as well. All are welcome!
{UPCOMING EVENTS}
Woofstock will be taking place on the June 9-10 weekend in Toronto. LOYAL will again have a booth in the Rescue Village which is inside Berczy Park, located a block East of Yonge Street on Front Street (across from the Winners). If you plan to attend with or without your pooches, make sure to stop by the LOYAL booth and say hello to our volunteers and foster dogs. We'd love to see you!
{VOTE FOR LOYAL UNTIL JUNE 16!}
Please vote for LOYAL Rescue in the newest round of the Helping Lost Pets Click Challenge. While the rescues / shelters with the most votes at the end should all win prizes, only the rescue / shelter with the most votes will win cash; cash for our vetting account to go 100 per cent towards the care and veterinary upkeep of the dogs in our foster program. Voting is easy - just click on this link which takes you directly to LOYAL voting page, and then click VOTE! You can vote once a day but you are able to vote using different e-mail addresses. You must register with Helping Lost Pets but we recommend you do that anyway as it is a fantastic site, and you never know when you may need their services (though we hope you never do!). Thank you for your ongoing support. With your help we know LOYAL can win!
{NEW ARRIVALS}
We have puppies! While a number of new dogs have arrived into foster care in the last few months, currently LOYAL has quite a few puppies in our care. These puppies are approx. 10-weeks of age and are now available on our website. Don't delay as puppies are very popular and we already are processing a number of promising applications for them!

{VOLUNTEERS}
LOYAL can do what LOYAL does because of the amazing volunteers - phone interviewers, home visitors, foster homes, transporters, event organizers, etc. - that work within our organization. If you are interested in learning more about how you can get involved with LOYAL, or are interested in becoming a foster parent to a special rescued dog, please contact us.
{HAPPY TAILS}
Have a Happy Tail to share about your LOYAL rescued dog? Send us an e-mail and we will include you in our Facebook album!
