Dog of the week: Pugsley!

Meet Pugsley!

This handsome man came into rescue as an owner surrender due to long working hours alone.  He will be 4 years old in September, and had been with the same owner since he was a puppy.

Pugsley is a quirky, friendly, outgoing dog that gets along well with kids, cats and other dogs.  He is living with 3 foster siblings in his foster home (all the furry kind!), and loves nothing more than to run and romp and play with them in the back yard.

When Pugsley isn't playing with his foster brother and sisters, he loves to cuddle up on the couch with his humans and his stuffed animals, and absolutely adores sleeping in the human bed at night.

Pugsley had tons of energy to burn, so an active family that would be prepared to take him on structured walks, as well as trips to the local dog park for a good run, would be needed.  When Pugsley isn't playing though, he's a calm, quiet, well-behaved boy who just wants a family to call his own.

If you are interested in Pugsley, please visit his blog, or send his foster mom an e-mail for more information.  Applications can be submitted through our website.

Pugsley is being fostered in Ottawa.  Transportation, if needed, can be discussed with Pugsley's foster mom.

Dogs of the Week: Maggie and Charlie!

Maggie and Charlie are sweet, 6-month-old Pomeranian-Australian Shepherd mix sisters who are searching for forever homes.

These adorable girls were surrendered to the rescue by a breeder who did not feel that they could find them homes given their visual impairments.  No, these girls are not blind, but they are hard of sight.  They get around fine and their "issues" do not slow them down at all.

As you can see, these shaggy, quirky girls are something to behold with their soft, flowing fur and steely blue eyes.

They both get along well with other dogs, cats and kids.  They are house-trained, crate-trained and enjoy riding in the car.

If you are interested in either Charlie or Maggie (or both!), please send us an e-mail or submit an application through our website.  Please note that both girls are being fostered in Baltimore, ON.
