Rocco was surrendered to the Quinte Humane Society before Christmas, and a caring LOYAL volunteer took him in when the shelter deemed him "unadoptable".Rocco is a special needs dog, and will require an experienced home to deal with his needs. Rocco is blind and, his vet believes, at least partially deaf. Don't let his special status fool you though, Rocco is still very spry for his age and condition!
Rocco is a sweet, affectionate little man (well, if you consider 25 lbs. "little"!) who is good with other dogs and cats. Due to his special needs, however, she should not be in a home with young children. He is house-trained and crate-trained and loves to go for walks; he is great on a leash as well.
The ideal home for Rocco would be a home with experience with special needs dogs where he can live out the remainder of his years in safety and comfort.
