Weekly Rescue Round-up: March 5, 2012

Welcome to our Weekly Rescue Round-up where we update you on all the rescue happenings within LOYAL! Thanks for stopping by the blog, and be sure to share or like this on Facebook and tweet about it, too! Spread the LOYAL love!

Please watch for a LOYAL foster dog and rescue representative on CP24's Morning Show (that's ch.24 for you GTA folks) on March 15, 2012 between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m.!

Are you one of the almost 700 LOYAL fans that has liked our Facebook page? Do you follow our posts on Twitter? Sometimes we post photos and information on these pages that doesn't make it onto the blog, so if you want to stay up-to-date on all of LOYAL's happenings, be sure to tune in!
The below dogs are new to rescue this week. We have dogs arriving weekly, so please keep an eye on our website for new additions.
LOYAL will be getting another wave of dogs from a breeding facility in Missouri over the next few weeks including Yorkies, Spaniels, Bichons and more, both male and female, young and old. Please keep an eye on our website for new arrivals, and please consider donating to our rescue to help cover the mounting vet bills that we face by rescuing these needy souls.

Donna is a 15-month-old, female Terrier mix. She gets along well with other dogs and would likely be fine in a home with mature, responsible children. She came to us from a shelter in Cozumel, Mexico and is now being fostered in Brampton.

Floppy is a 9-month-old, male Cocker Spaniel cross. This friendly, outgoing pooch gets along well with other dogs, cats and kids, and is full of energy and spunk. He came to us from a shelter in Cozumel, Mexico and is being fostered in Burlington.

Little John is a 6-year-old, male Rat Terrier or Toy Fox Terrier mix. He is sweet, cuddly and affectionate, and enjoys the company of other dogs. Little John came to us from a local shelter where he was slated for euthanization (when his owners did not claim him), and he is being fostered in Brampton.

Lulu is a 1-year-old, female Hound-Beagle mix. She loves other dogs and kids, and finds herself searching for a new forever family through no fault of her own. Lulu was surrendered to rescue by her previous owners, and is now being fostered in Uxbridge.
Applications for adoption for these and any other dogs within LOYAL foster care can be submitted through our website. Thank you for considering a rescued dog when it came time to add to your family!

Did you know that in February, 33 dogs found their forever families? That is 33 Happy Tails and many happy humans with new furry family members. Amazing!

The following dogs found their forever families since the last Round-up:

Congratulations to Maxie and her new forever family!

The following dogs have pending adoptions and we are no longer accepting applications for them. Thank you for your interest!

Angel and Gracie.

Are you a previous LOYAL adopter that has a Happy Tail to submit? Send an e-mail to our Social Media Coordinator and it will be posted in our Happy Tails Facebook album!

As always, any and all rescue and adoption-related questions can be submitted via e-mail to one of our volunteers.

Happy adopting!
