Dog of the week: Mickey!

Mickey is an adorable 10-year-old Maltese who, through no fault of his own, is on the search for a new forever family.  Unfortunately Mickey's former family did not care for him or his brother throughout their lives, and recently surrendered them to LOYAL Rescue as they had purchased a new puppy.

But Mickey doesn't want to dwell on the sad state of his surrender, and is ready and willing to put it behind him and to move on with his life.  He visited a vet (for the first time since 2001, in fact!), had some dental work done, and is now spic and span and officially available for adoption!

Mickey is good with other small dogs, and would be ok with older children who are respectful of his age and his size.  Cats are not recommended.  Mickey is house trained and leash-trained, and loves to soak up all the attention his foster family sends his way.

Mickey would love to become the newest member of a quiet family where someone is home all or at least most of the day.  He loves his humans, and would not be well-suited to being alone for long periods of time.

If you are interested in adopting Mickey, please submit an application through our website, or send us an e-mail for more information.

Mickey is waiting!
