Dog of the week: Marilyn

Marilyn is a sweet 12-year-old female Poodle-Schnauzer mix who came to us from a Quebec puppy mill. Despite her rough start to life, Marilyn is a very affectionate girl who is eager to please everyone she meets. Marilyn has special needs - she is deaf. She should go to a home that understands and is patient with her condition, understanding that she may startle easy because she cannot hear people approaching. A home with no young children is recommended. Marilyn is good with other dogs and with cats, but would love being the only dog in her new home so that she could get all of the love and attention that she deserves. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal because Marilyn could wander, and cannot hear you calling her back to the house. Safety first! Other than a grade 5 heart murmur (which her foster mom can explain in detail), Marilyn is a happy and healthy girl who would love to find her forever family soon; she has been in rescue far too long! If you think you could provide a loving, safe home for Marilyn, please contact us!
