Foster update - October 4, 2010

Wondering what dogs are new to rescue and who has recently found their forever home? This weekly Monday update is your key to keeping track of LOYAL's adoptable dogs!

**SAD NEWS**

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of one of our most recently adoptees, Precious (now Frankie). Precious was a puppy mill survivor and two-time LOYAL foster dog who warmed the hearts of everyone she met. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her former foster family, and to her adoptive family who loved her very dearly. Precious will be missed by all, but we know she is now frolicking at the Rainbow Bridge with all of the other pets that we have lost too soon. RIP Precious.


NEW ARRIVALS

The following dogs are new to rescue:

Cale
Cale is a 7-month old, male American Eskimo. This young guy is good with other dogs, but should probably not go to a home with cats. Because of his young age and his puppy-like behaviours, a home with older children (12+) is also recommended. As with most dogs his age, Cale loves to chew on things! Anything! Especially hands! Cale is learning how to be a good doga and how to live in a home with people and other animals, and what is / isn't acceptable to put in his mouth! As is typical for this breed, Cale is a barker and is shy of strangers. If you are an experienced dog-owner that is prepared to take on Cale and help him grow into a well-balanced, responsible adult dog, let us know!

Janice
Janice is a sweet 2-3 year-old, female Yorkie. Janice came to us from an Ohio puppy mill, and should therefore go to a home with older children only that understand that she is very small and will need time to adjust to new surroundings before she feels safe. Janice is good with other dogs. Despite her very rough start to life, Janice is a sweet, friendly little dog that is growing more and more confident every day as she discovers the huge world around her. If you think you can offer a safe, loving, patient home to little Janice, please contact us!
